Skills Development and training Services

My Space Group is accredited by FP&MSETA as a National Service Provider of vocational skills to the Sewing Skills and Furniture Wood Product Sector Level 2. Therefore we produce accredited learners, with SAQA approved qualifications. We have highly skilled staff which includes our administrator, project manager, facilitators, assessors and moderators. We encourage our leaners to start their own business as to create jobs and alleviate poverty in South Africa. We also take initiatives to freely train them on Entrepreneurship and have partnered with DUT Social Entrepreneurship Center who’s role is to open business entities for them and run their mentorship program with them for three years.

  • Westville Correctional Service Project: My Space had 50 in-mates learners who were skilled in Furniture Making program and Entrepreneurship.  We  also created a program with Pastors and professional counselors , which seeks to assist inmates to developing a new mind set.
  • KwaMashu/Bhambayi Project: A skills development project granted by FP&M Seta to train 50 unemployed learners on furniture making. in which 80% of them are within the youth bracket, hence they are 30 years and below.
  • Cato-Manor Project: This was a My Space Interior initiative, aimed at reducing poverty in Cato Manor community. Therefore the ten unemployed candidates, especially youth were recruited.  Our company managed to employ three learners from the group and  the rest were successfully place in other companies, of which one is now a successful entrepreneur, running a furniture making company
